Laundry Attendant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The primary responsibility of the Laundry Attendant is to perform the required operations with laundry equipment; ensuring products are clean and acceptable for hotel use. Responsible for maintaining laundry for the hotel rooms and other departments as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Operate laundry equipment; load, operate, and unload washers and dryers.

2. Operate flatwork ironers.

3. Iron and fold linens by hand.

4. Clean and maintain work areas.

5. Inform Supervisor of any malfunctions of equipment or problems with safety mechanisms of equipment.

6. Other duties may include delivery of guest service supplies to guestrooms, stocking of housekeeping closets and carts.

7. Operate Casino laundry.

8. Performs other duties may be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

· Must be at least 18 years of age.

· High School Diploma or GED preferred.

· One-year previous experience in hotel laundry operation preferred.

· Must possess good communication skills.

· Must maintain strict confidentiality at all times, including gaming regulations and compliance.

· Must be available to work all shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

· Must have excellent attendance.

REASONING ABILITY:

· Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and balance multiple priorities successfully.

· Must be able to remain sensitive to cultural diversity in the workplace.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Must be able to lift and move up to 70pounds.

· Must be able to sit, stand and walk for prolonged periods.

· Must be able to operate, laundry or cleaning machinery and equipment.

· Must have good vision, hearing, manual dexterity, and flexibility.

· Must be able to occasionally climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

· Must have good vision, hearing, manual dexterity, and flexibility.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

· Must be able to work in an occasional cold and extreme heat environment.

· Employee may be exposed to wet conditions, airborne particles that may be toxic or caustic

· Constantly works under close surveillance cameras.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

· Candidate selected for employment will be subject to a pre-employment drug test, employment reference and background check.

· Must obtain and maintain a Sky Ute Casino Resort Staff License.

· Must comply fully with all Sky Ute Casino’s Policies & Procedures, Gaming Code Regulations and any applicable policies & regulations set forth by the Casino Resort

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

• 8 hour shift
