What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Coordinator position at Sky Ute Casino Resort?
JOB SUMMARY:
This position reports to the Marketing Director. The Marketing Coordinator supports the Marketing team in all phases of advertising and promotional administrative operations. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, customer service skills, telephone skills, computer skills and attention to detail.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Assists the Marketing department in interacting with various marketing services.
2. Communicate and coordinate with the internal Marketing staff to understand business/marketing objectives and ensure deadlines are met.
3. Organizes advertising and promotional administrative support needs and maintains and schedules workflow.
4. Projects a professional image through in-person and phone interaction, by providing friendly greeting to all customers and associates, and directs them to the appropriate Marketing/Sales staff.
5. Inputs data into marketing database accurately.
6. Processes all purchasing requisitions.
7. Assists during all phases of special events including planning and execution duties as needed.
8. Assist Marketing Director and Manager in development of advertising material.
9. Assist Director and Marketing Manager in maintaining internal marketing materials such as brochures, lightfaces, signs, posters and digital marquees.
10. Must be knowledgeable of all happening on property and in the market.
11. Coordinates with other departments as necessary to ensure successful events.
12. Collaborate with other resort departments to manage company reputation, coordinate promotions, and increase reach.
13. Assist with crisis management, bad reviews, and negative news communications.
14. Assist casino hosts, Players Club, Casino Events, and other departments with information regarding casino guests.
15. Work with vendors to fulfill job creative requests to ensure accuracy and timelines are met.
16. Preparation of decks and documents for presentations, proposals, and business tools.
17. Marketing event and activation support, coordinate logistics, manage invites, and onsite set up.
18. Maintain brand consistency throughout all our advertising/brand projects.
19. Collaborate and function effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with quick turnarounds and high expectations.
20. Work in a team environment with passion and aptitude for creativity.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must be at least 21 years old.
· Must have High School Diploma or equivalency. Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
· Must have valid driver’s license and be insurable with the Southern Ute Indian Tribe.
· Must have at least 2 (Two) years of work experience in an Administrative Assistant position. Marketing support preferred.
· Excellent secretarial skills required with advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access, and other programs.
· Accurate computer keyboarding skills at a minimum of 45 wpm.
· Must be proficient in database management.
· Excellent organizational skills as well as being self-motivated and able to work with little or no supervision.
· Must be able to work all shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
· Must have an excellent attendance record.
· Must have a pleasing, customer service-oriented personality along with superior people skills.
· Must be able to meet deadlines for numerous tasks as established by the Marketing Director.
· Must demonstrate knowledge of organizing, scheduling, agenda development, minute taking and organization of materials, including confidential correspondence and record.
· Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication and multi-tasking skills.
· Must maintain strict confidentiality at all times, including personnel data, gaming regulations and compliance.
· Must always remain sensitive to cultural diversity in the workplace.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds,
· Must be able to sit, stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
· Must have good vision, hearing, manual dexterity, and flexibility.
· Must be able to work in front of computer terminal for extended periods of time and some repetitive motion associated with data entry and use of the computer mouse.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· Must be able to work in a noisy and crowded environment.
· Must be able to work under close surveillance cameras.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
· Candidate selected for employment will be subject to pre-employment drug test, employment reference and background check.
· Must obtain and maintain a Southern Ute Division of Gaming license.
· Must comply fully with all Sky Ute Casino’s Policies and Procedures, Gaming Code Regulations and any applicable Regulations set forth by the Casino Resort.
