JOB SUMMARY:
Room Attendants are responsible for thoroughly cleaning hotel guest rooms and performing routine duties individually or as a pair, in a fast-paced work environment. Duties include cleaning hotel room by wiping, washing, scrubbing, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping all areas of the guest rooms. This position requires the ability to bend, lift, stand and walk throughout the shift. The duties of this job are physically demanding and may be stressful at times, particularly during peak season periods. You will be cleaning an average of 16 guest rooms, and during peak season, up to 20 guest rooms per shift, depending on whether you are working as an individual or a pair. This position will be responsible for cross training on the Casino Floor to assist with Operational Housekeeping when needed and as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Cleans and maintains assigned number of hotel guest rooms in the required amount of time and within set guidelines.
2. Prepares beds with fresh linens and arranges blankets and pillows in a neat manner.
3. Dusts and polishes all surfaces such as the bed frame, chair, telephone, dresser, TV, etc. using appropriate cleaning tools and chemicals.
4. Wipes and cleans bar area which includes the coffee maker, tray, ice bucket, refrigerator, etc.
5. Wipes, cleans and organizes closet area which includes hangers, iron, ironing board, luggage rack, laundry bag, extra pillow, and mirror.
6. Disinfects, wipes, rolls and mops guest bathrooms and flooring. Cleans and scrubs bath, shower, toilet, vanity, sink and wipes all glass surfaces.
7. Prepares clean towels neatly on shelves and towel bars.
8. Vacuums carpet and small areas around the night stand, beds, chair cushions, and along the baseboards.
9. Wipes railings, walls, and sweeps/rolls and mop balcony. Clean balcony glass doors inside and outside.
10. Checks inventory of products in each room, such as toilet paper, shampoo and soap, and replaces items as necessary.
11. Restocks, organizes and maintains cleaning cart.
12. Reports any defects, damages, lost and found articles and maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
13. Safely use a variety of chemicals and cleaning supplies for cleaning purposes
14. Greets guests in a friendly manner and assists guests with questions and/or requests.
15. Uniforms must always be used.
16. Gaming badge must always be visibly worn on uniform.
17. Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must be at least 18 years of age.
· High School Diploma or GED preferred.
· One year previous experience preferred in hotel or hospitality business.
· Must be able to perform repetitive physically demanding routine tasks.
· Must demonstrate willingness to learn and the ability to pay close attention to details.
· Must be able to read, understand and respond to written or verbal instruction in English.
· Must be available to work all shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
· Must have excellent attendance.
· Must maintain strict confidentiality at all times
· Must always remain sensitive to cultural diversity in the workplace.
· Must be able to work in a team environment
· Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· Must be able to lift and move up to fifty (50) pounds frequently throughout shift.
· Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
· Must be able to manipulate linen cart and cleaning supply cart.
· Must have good vision, hearing, manual dexterity, and flexibility.
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee must frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, squeeze, push, pull, stretch, crawl and perform repetitive motions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· Works under surveillance cameras.

· Must obtain and maintain a Sky Ute Casino Resort Staff Badge.
