The Community Leasing and Financial Manager is responsible for leading the billing / leasing team and timely accurate monthly billing for all Sky Valley Resort Properties. This includes managing the meter reading process through the collection of monies. The position is also responsible for providing excellent customer service. This individual must be motivated and will take ownership and has the organization skills to manage several tasks at once. This service will be friendly, consistent and efficient while supporting the company mission statement of quality, affordability, profitability and respect. Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) are accuracy and timeliness of monthly billing, as well as establishing and maintaining professional relationships with co-workers. Work location is flexible depending on the candidate, including an in-office setting in Petoskey, MI, hybrid remote or fully remote.
Requirements
Your responsibilities will include, are not limited to, and may change or evolve over time:
- Lead and develop billing / leasing team
- Serve as point of contact for residents, real estate agents, escrow agencies, and other third parties during leasing process
- Respond to all customer billing inquiries and concerns through telephone, email, google meet, or in person in a friendly, timely, and professional manner.
- Accurately process residency applications through the execution of lease
- Process new resident transitions in and out of billing software (MIMOs)
- Responsible for preparation and delivery of monthly billing statements with accurate monthly charges and credits
- Assist in preparation of eviction paperwork and other legal action as needed
- Responsible for lease renewals and monthly PAF notices
- Responsible for coordinating with third party or on-site operations for monthly meter reads and meter change outs as needed. Manage meter reading process across all properties
- Responsible for billing collections
- Complete account audits, analyze data, and identify corrective actions
- Maintain internal forms and templates on billing software to stay current and ensure clear communication across all properties
- Assist with onboarding new properties in billing software and point of contact for new annual residents.
- Working with operations and leadership teams to identify changes in process as new products or services are updated.
- Perform other related duties as directed
KPI’s
- Accuracy
Tracked by identified mistakes once billing statements are shared
Goal: less than 10 inaccuracies/month (errors without significant material impact to organization)/report. 0 blunders (significant material impact to organization).
There is no responsibility for receiving inaccurate data.
- Timeliness
Billing Statements are sent by the 1st of each month
Monthly PAF notices are sent 90 days prior to increase
OFFERING
The starting salary offered for this position is $50,000-$60,000 depending on experience. This rate is based on this role being full-time, 40 hours/week. Your office location will be remote, however minimal travel to the main office or Resort Park locations may be required.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3 years of experience in billing / leasing work
- Accounting background or experience preferred

- Good organizational and verbal communication skills
- Hard-working and willingness to take direction and carry-out task
