Director of Nursing (DON) for Long Term Care Facility

We are currently looking to fill a full-time Director of Nursing at Iowa Park Healthcare Center. We are a small facility, and we're looking to add a leader that will help foster our culture of kindness and support.

As you may know Iowa Park has been closed for renovations and we are excited to be re-opening the facility in the next month having been fully renovated!

The Director of Nursing at our facility is responsible for management and oversight of the nursing department and clinical operations and to ensure the best possible clinical outcomes for all residents of the facility. Responsibilities include oversight of all nursing functions including:

• Regulatory compliance, nursing administration, staffing, and survey preparedness.
• Support the admissions process and promote facility growth.
• Quality of care and communication with residents and families providing excellent customer service.
• Maintaining good communication with facility and corporate leadership as well as with medical providers and representatives.
• Supervision of nursing staff with a focus on creating a positive environment and person-centered culture.
• Taking call on some nights and weekends.

Qualifications:

• Must be licensed by the State of Texas.
• Experience preferred.
• Proficiency with PCC.
• Good leadership and organizational skills.
• Communication skills.
• Good grasp of regulatory requirements as well as interdepartmental coordination.
• Be a team player with a positive attitude and a genuine concern for our residents and staff.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
