Job Overview:

Sky Blue Restorations, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator with expertise in Xactimate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for water damage restoration, fire damage restoration, mold remediation, and other property restoration services. This role requires a deep understanding of insurance claims processes, construction materials, and restoration industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate estimates using Xactimate based on project scope and insurance guidelines.

• Conduct on-site inspections to assess damage and gather necessary documentation, including photos and measurements.

• Review and analyze project documentation, including insurance reports, to ensure all necessary repairs are accounted for.

• Collaborate with project managers, technicians, and insurance adjusters to ensure estimates are thorough and align with project needs.

• Negotiate and justify estimates with insurance adjusters and clients to maximize claim approvals.

• Ensure all estimates comply with local, state, and industry regulations, including IICRC standards.

• Maintain detailed records of estimates, revisions, and communications with clients and insurance companies.

• Stay updated on Xactimate software updates, pricing structures, and best practices to improve accuracy and efficiency.

• Assist in project planning by providing cost breakdowns and material requirements.

• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and explaining the scope of work in clear terms.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience as an Estimator in the restoration or construction industry.

• Advanced proficiency in Xactimate, with the ability to create detailed and competitive estimates.

• Strong knowledge of water damage restoration, fire damage restoration, mold remediation, and general construction practices.

• Understanding of insurance claims processes, including negotiations with adjusters.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with clients, insurance companies, and internal teams.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, scopes of work, and technical documents.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate estimates under tight deadlines.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other estimating software.

• IICRC certification in Water Damage Restoration (WRT) or related fields is a plus.

• Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to job sites if needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the restoration industry working directly with insurance carriers.

• Xactimate Level 2 or Level 3 Certification.

• Familiarity with estimating software integrations and reporting tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $29.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
