Customer Service Representative

Skyborne seeks associated who can adapt to a variety of situations and who can work effective as a team player in a climate that promotes cultural diversity and multicultural understanding towards the overall success of the fixed base operation (FBO). Must be a self-starter and able to multi-task to complete various projects in a busy setting. Prior aviation experience is a plus but not required.

The person hired for this position will serve in a role and is responsible for: 1) greeting, welcoming and assisting clients upon arrival, 2) collecting payments and data entry, 3) cultivating relationships, 4) social media marketing and management, 5) various projects as necessitated by Administration, 6) assisting pilots/ crew members.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

I. CLIENT SERVICES

¨ Greet clients or other personnel by phone, in person or through electronic media, including email.

¨ Assessing and responding to the needs of clients, vendors, or team members and provide information concerning services, procedures, and guidelines of our company.

¨ Investigate problems, prepare reports, develop solutions, and make recommendations to management in order to resolve client complains and /or improve procedures.

¨ Maintain a clean and enjoyable working environment.

¨ Maintain a working knowledge of Skyborne facility, services, website, surrounding area, and other information related to commonly asked questions.

¨ Provide clients with concierge services including, but not limited to arranging reservations for hotel stays, ground transportation, catering, and customs appointments.

¨ Replenish beverages/supplies.

¨ Maintaining a high level of concentration to ensure accuracy in a busy setting.

¨ Assist pilots to access airport & weather information & computers. Assist clients with their luggage in the FBO & outside to/from aircraft.

¨ Drive vehicles, vans, or other shuttles, where applicable.

¨ Ability to handle stressful situation and high-profile clientele with effectiveness, professionalism, and confidentiality.

¨ Ability to lift light to moderately heavy items from the ground and into an aircraft and vice versa.

II. OFFICE DUTIES

¨ Processing payments & invoicing clients or vendors.

¨ Operating a multi-line telephone.

¨ Communicate with others in person, via telephone, radio communicators, and in writing.

¨ Work proficiently in computer operations (internet, email, Microsoft, point-of-sale), and typing, with the ability to learn to software.

¨ Prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:

¨ High School Diploma or GED certificate.

¨ Minimum age 21 years.

¨ Driver’s License with clean driving record.

¨ Pass background check.

¨ Pass pre-employment drug test and random testing thereafter.

¨ Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions with aircraft noise, frequent walking, stretching, bending, sitting, stooping, reaching, grasping, and climbing.

¨ Ability to work with fuels and other flammable and hazardous materials.

¨ Must be able to climb stairs and ladders and work in elevated areas without limitations.

¨ Ability to frequently stand and walk for an entire 8-hour shift.

¨ Ability to complete training requirements.

¨ Ability to differentiate aircraft types as well as understand military time and phonetic alphabet preferred.

¨ 2 years aviation experience is preferred but not required.

¨ Schedule flexibility.

¨ Computer proficiency with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and internet navigation.

¨ Basic communication, comprehension and math skills required.

¨ Ability to work under pressure.

PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT

Certain functions of this position may be performed in varying weather and environmental conditions, however, majority of tasks are performed inside. Knowledge and use of aviation equipment and computers is important. The Customer Service Representative must be flexible when necessary to meet demands of unexpected changes. Weekends, from Friday evenings through Sunday afternoons, are extremely busy times.

DRUG AWARENESS POLICY

To maintain a safe environment for everyone, Skyborne has a no-tolerance policy for substance abuse. A Customer Service Representative must be in top mental and physical condition when reporting to work. Skyborne may conduct periodic testing for illegal drugs without notice and does require a pre-employment drug test.

PRODUCTIVITY AND PERFORMANCE

Productivity and performance will be reviewed by administration and/or assigned supervisor initially 90 days after hire date and subsequently annually at hire date and assessed based on attendance, dependability, and reliability, care of equipment and company property, communication, basic computer and mathematical skills, customer service and interpersonal skills, initiative and creativity, job knowledge, quality of work/independence, safety record, and professional appearance.

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT/PAY/SALARY

This is a full-time or part-time assignment paid hourly. Customer Service Representative pay is based on experience and qualifications. Salary may be offered for qualifying candidates.
