SkyBridge Luxury & Associates is seeking an experienced Director of Food & Beverage to lead the food and beverage operations at a distinguished city center hotel in Jackson, Mississippi. The hotel boasts a variety of dining outlets, including a signature restaurant, a vibrant bar/lounge, and extensive catering services for the hotel’s 12,000 square feet of meeting and event space. This role will focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences while driving profitability across all food and beverage offerings.
The Director of Food & Beverage will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that meet sales, profitability, and quality service goals. This includes managing the budget, leading marketing efforts, and overseeing the daily operations of the hotel’s dining and event services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team across multiple food and beverage outlets, including a signature restaurant, bar/lounge, and catering services for meetings and events.
- Develop and implement the budget, marketing plans, and operational objectives, ensuring alignment with hotel-wide goals.
- Oversee the hotel’s food and beverage sales and marketing programs, driving revenue growth and maintaining high guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate the operation of the hotel’s 12,000 square feet of meeting and event space, ensuring seamless execution of catering and event services.
- Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate food and beverage staff, fostering a high-performance, service-oriented team.
- Manage payroll, reports, forecasts, inventory, and budgets to ensure efficiency and profitability in food and beverage operations.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure exceptional guest experiences, particularly for large meetings and events.
- Address customer feedback and resolve complaints to maintain a high level of satisfaction.
- Ensure quality control standards are maintained for food and beverage services, including menu development, service protocols, and presentation.
- Perform regular walk-throughs to ensure compliance with health regulations and brand standards.
- Maintain effective communication with corporate staff to uphold operational excellence and brand integrity.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in hotel food and beverage operations, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Experience managing a range of food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, and event catering services.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in managing diverse teams and operations across multiple outlets.
- Strong background in catering and event services, especially in managing large meetings and events.
- A degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment with an entrepreneurial mindset.
