SkyBridge Luxury & Associates is partnering with a renowned lifestyle hotel in New York City to find an experienced Head of Membership Development. This property and brand are renowned for their trendsetting approach to creating celebrated culinary concepts and experiences.
Position Summary
The Head of Membership Development will spearhead initiatives aimed at increasing membership through targeted sales strategies. This role involves attracting premium members, formulating creative outreach approaches, and accomplishing challenging membership sales objectives. The preferred candidate will possess a robust background in sales and strategic planning within luxury, hospitality, or exclusive membership sectors, along with a demonstrated track record of surpassing sales targets.
Responsibilities:
- Develop membership sales strategy to drive new memberships
- Conduct market research to identify potential member segments and growth
- Create and execute targeted sales initiatives, including outreach to industry-specific networks, to increase membership enrollment
- Work closely with the marketing team to create campaigns to drive new member interest
- Establish KPI's to measure growth and success, calibrating strategies to meet metric goals
- Train, mentor, and develop team to ensure effective sales execution
- Drive sales goals through inspirational leadership
- Regularly report to senior leadership about membership growth and impact of sales strategies
- Stay on top of market and competitive trends and adjust sales strategies accordingly
- Analyze data to refine service and sales approach
- Be an ambassador for the brand at external events and to network effectively to build additional membership base
- Build relationships with local businesses and aligned brands to deepen membership base
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, membership development, or business preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field (Master’s
- development within luxury or hospitality settings.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence decision making
- Excellent ability to foster relationships and build bridges
