Overview
We are looking for an Addictions Counselor with a LMAC, LCAC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW for a great opportunity in Moundridge, KS.
Our client provides residential drug and alcohol addiction treatment services and needs an Addictions Counselor to work either Tues – Sat or Sun – Thur.
JOB SUMMARY:
- Provides individual and group counseling, therapeutic intervention, and educational lectures to patients and family members.
- Develops, revises, and implements treatment plans.
- Performs face to face assessments.
- Participates on a multi-disciplinary treatment team to include participating in weekly staff meetings, any staff development, and training as required.
- Develops patient progress reports and establishes follow-up care for patients and their families as needed.
- Provide clinical consultation to referral resources, mentors, family members, and others to help support patients in their recovery.
- Maintains and demonstrates a current working knowledge of applicable counseling procedures and substance abuse treatment in accordance with company policy and State and Federal guidelines.
- Collects and reviews referral information upon assignment of patients and consults with others as needed to support coordination of services.
- Records treatment activities and patient observations in patient records accurately and timely.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Master’s degree in behavioral sciences, education or social work.
- License or credential to function as a counselor, social worker, therapist, or psychotherapist in the state in which the Counselor is working; with preference being licensed addiction counselors.
- Counselors with the following credentials will be considered: LMAC, LCAC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LCPC.
- One (1) year of behavioral healthcare clinical counseling or clinical case management work experience is required.
- CPR/First Aid Certification
COMPENSATION: (based on experience and education):
- Starting Salary: $70,000 - $87,800 (depending on experience and education)
- $150 per weekend shift Bonus included in listed salary range
- $10,000 Sign-On Bonus (paid out over two years)
