What are the responsibilities and job description for the Groundsmen *EXPERIENCED* with License position at SkyFrog Tree Service?
We are seeking experienced and entry-level candidates who are ambitious, self-starters, that have a passion for preserving and caring for trees.
As a groundman, you will be an integral member of a tree care crew with the primary responsibility assisting Arborist Crew Leaders in the performance of all tree and shrub care services on residential and commercial properties.
Qualifications
- prior experience working in the tree care or landscaping industry is preferred but not required
- Ability to perform strenuous manual labor and work in all weather conditions and seasons
- Valid driver’s license and clean MVR
Responsibilities:
- Assists with the implementation of work zone safety procedures such as the placement of cones and signs, and the provision of flagging services
- Assists climbers and crew leaders working on the ground and aloft
- Operates and maintains chippers, chainsaws, stump grinder, and all other equipment safely
- Assists with driving, backing, dumping, and parking duties
- Learns and demonstrates high safety standards, sound tree risk assessment skills, equipment inspection skills, proper pruning and rigging skills, and implementation of tree felling procedures
- Responsible for carrying out other duties as assigned by the Crew Leader or designated supervisor, Arborist Representative, or Local Manager
