After-School Sports Coach

About Skyhawks:
Skyhawks Sports Academy has been a leader in youth sports for over 45 years, partnering with organizations like USA Football, USA Field Hockey, and Texas A&M. We create safe, fun, and educational programs where kids aged 5-14 build life skills through sports and active lifestyles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead age-appropriate sports activities and games.
- Teach fundamental skills and techniques across a variety of sports.
- Create a safe, inclusive environment that fosters positive interactions.
- Encourage and guide participants with constructive feedback.
- Communicate effectively with parents and program coordinators.
- Maintain and organize equipment and uphold our core values.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with kids in a sports or educational setting (preferred).
- Knowledge of sports fundamentals and the ability to teach them (preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- CPR/First Aid certification (we can assist if you don’t have it).
- Must pass a background check and child abuse clearances.
- Reliable transportation to and from program locations.
Schedule & Pay:
- Start Date: January 27, 2025
- Hours: 3-8 hours/week
- Monday to Friday: 2:30 PM - 4:15 PM
- Pay: $16-$18/hour, with potential for an increase after the first month.
