Youth Sports Coach (Summer 2025)

Position Summary:

Skyhawks Sports Academy is seeking passionate, self-motivated Coaches for the Summer 2025 season. As a Youth Sports Coach, you will work directly with kids, teach sports fundamentals and life skills in a fun, supportive environment. The ideal coach is passionate about youth development and eager to positively impact their community. Coaches will also collaborate with other coaches, manage program logistics, and ensure a high quality experience for participants. You'll help guide young athletes while promoting teamwork, personal growth, and a love for sports, all while supporting Skyhawks mission and values in your local community.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging drills and games based on the Skyhawks Sports Academy curriculum.
• Create a fun, energetic environment to motivate participants.
• Support fellow participants to ensure high-quality sessions.
• Teach fundamental sports skills and promote life skills such as teamwork and leadership.
• Transport and manage equipment, pre-set-up and post-clean-up.
• Commit to leading assigned classes consistently over four-day periods.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for commuting up to 30 miles to various camp locations.
• Must pass a background check.
• Demonstrate a genuine passion for sports.
• First Aid and CPR certified.
• Preferred: Prior experience in coaching and/or childcare.

Schedule:

• Mornings (8:30am-12pm)
• Afternoon (12:30pm-4pm)
• Evenings (4pm-8pm)
• Monday to Thursday, and some Fridays

Work Location(s): In Person at various locations throughout the Twin Cities Metro including: Maplewood, North St. Paul, St. Paul, Stillwater, Lake Elmo, Woodbury, Cottage Grove, Inver Grove Heights, Hastings, and White Bear Lake.

*We will schedule you within a maximum 30-mile drive from your home. Most camps are held at elementary, middle, high schools, and parks.*

Position timeline: June-August 2025*

• Training will be June 1st-6th
