Your Role:
As the Transportation Station Leader, you’ll oversee all aspects of station operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and reliable services. Key responsibilities include:
- Leadership & Team Management: Recruit, train, and lead station staff, fostering a motivated and high-performing team. Some of the leadership qualities are: integrity, clear communication, accountability, vision, and self-awareness.
- Operational Oversight: Manage schedules, prioritize routes, and ensure service commitments are consistently met.
- Incident Management: Investigate and report on vehicle accidents and maintenance issues.
- Quality Control: Conduct vehicle inspections and ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
- Budget & Financial Management: Assist in preparing and maintaining station budgets.
- Collaboration: Work closely with dispatch to address and resolve service issues promptly.
- Compliance: Stay up-to-date on federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
What You Bring:
- 5 years of transportation experience (management experience highly desired).
- Proven leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and team building.
- Knowledge of transportation rules and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Hands-on experience driving shuttles, buses, or passenger vans is a plus.
- Flexibility to work outdoors in all weather conditions and manage schedules during weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset to tackle challenges and improve operations.
