Dietary Aide/Dishwasher/Server

Job Summary
The Dietary Aide plays a vital role in supporting the dietary department by assisting in the preparation and serving of meals to residents in a skilled nursing facility. This position requires a commitment to food safety and quality service, ensuring that all dietary needs are met with care and attention. Duties

• Assist in the preparation of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
• Serve meals to residents, ensuring that individual dietary needs are met.
• Help maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Follow food safety protocols to ensure the safe handling and storage of food products.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service.
• Support the dietary department in planning menus that meet nutritional standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing resident inquiries and concerns regarding meals.
• Participate in training sessions related to food safety, nutrition, and culinary practices.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food production or a dietary setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is essential.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Familiarity with assisted living or hospital environments is a plus.
• A passion for culinary arts and an interest in dietetics will be advantageous.
• Must be able to follow directions accurately and maintain a high level of cleanliness in the kitchen area.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
