Host/Hostess

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional guest experiences and will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to customer service.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with seating options.
• Manage the flow of guests in the dining area, ensuring timely seating and minimal wait times.
• Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate wait times effectively to guests.
• Provide menus and explain daily specials or promotions to guests.
• Assist with guest inquiries regarding menu items, restaurant policies, and reservations.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
• Handle phone calls with professionalism, taking reservations or answering questions as needed.
• Uphold cleanliness and organization at the host stand and dining area.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in guest relations or customer service within the hospitality or food service industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and the ability to interact positively with guests.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a busy restaurant environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A friendly demeanor with a passion for providing excellent guest services.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
