Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Classroom Aide to support our educators in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for our students. This role is essential in assisting with the daily activities within the classroom, ensuring that each child receives the attention and guidance they need to thrive. The ideal candidate will have experience in daycare or private school settings and a passion for early childhood education.
Duties
- Assist teachers and teacher assistants in implementing lesson plans and educational activities tailored for preschool-aged children.
- Support classroom management by helping to maintain a positive and structured environment conducive to learning, using Conscious Discipline.
- Engage with students during activities, promoting literacy through interactive reading sessions and hands-on learning experiences.
- Provide individual support to children, ensuring their unique needs are met.
- Help supervise children during playtime, meals, outside time and transitions between activities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom to create a safe and healthy learning environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with preschool aged children is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood development practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and staff.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with young children.
