Summary
You will be primarily responsible for ordering and managing incoming materials in an effort to obtain competitive total cost of material services in a time period that meets Skyline business requirements. Leads cost reduction and supplier improvement projects. Develops and maintains relationships with strategic suppliers.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Enter and release orders with suppliers.
Manages delivery of products and services.
Initiates and leads cost reduction projects.
Initiates analysis on make/buy decisions.
Initiates and leads supplier reviews.
Negotiate supplier contracts.
Creates and drives supplier improvement plans.
Works closely with engineering on new product commercialization projects.
Identifies opportunities for process improvements.
Research new/alternative sources of supply and provide recommendations to engineering and marketing.
Continually maintains knowledge of new products and services.
May be asked to assist in other areas as required by the business.
Execute the procurement of material, services, and production supplies including price, availability, delivery schedule (expediting), and final delivery of goods.
Functional knowledge of international and domestic purchasing and sourcing methods and concepts

Minimum Education/Certification
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field of study or equivalent work experience.
CPM or CPIM preferred.
Minimum Experience
1 years related purchasing experience or equivalent.
Prior experience negotiating contracts for various commodities.
Computer skills to include proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems. SAP experience preferred.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Position is sedentary in nature with occasional standing, walking and bending throughout the day.
