Salary : $65k doe
Thank you for your interest in Skyline Education! Our South Phoenix campus is looking for a certified special education teacher to work with our high school population. This is a resource position with a caseload of approximately 30 students.
Responsibilities :
- Schedule, plan, and facilitate all IEP meetings for caseload.
- Schedule and attend all MET meetings for caseload; collaborate with the team and draft data for reports.
- Plan and deliver specially designed instruction using the most efficient and effective methodology for the students assigned.
- Conduct assessments for progress monitoring that are research based and appropriate for the students assigned.
- Collaborate and clearly communicate with parents / guardians, related service providers and other educators to assist in the students learning.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and assist with implementing modifications in a students education plan as required.
- Consult with other school staff as necessary to complete the functions of the position.
- Utilize preventive discipline methodology with assigned students.
- Model positive character virtues and habits. Assist students in developing positive moral and performance character attributes.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Principal, Director, & School Leaders
