What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities Assistant position at Skyline Estates Senior Living?
Summary: The Activities Assistant leads scheduled resident activities and is responsible for recording attendance to those activities. Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Activities and/or Administrator.
SCHEDULE: 11am-5pm Thursday- Sunday
Position Responsibilities:
1. Leads out in resident scheduled activities in cooperation with appropriate resident support groups and community departments;
2. Consults and works with other departments in implementing appropriate activities as they relate to the physical, emotional, and social needs of the individual residents;
3. Coordinates scheduled resident activities and programs, which are sponsored by community groups;
4. Assists with community volunteers;
5. Works closely with other departments to maximize level of functioning for community residents;
6. Assists in maintaining appropriate records of resident socialization;
7. Prepares and distributes a monthly activity schedule;
8. Follows monthly calendar for scheduled activities;
9. Ensures activity areas are well maintained;
10. Assists with assessments, orientation, and marketing duties as requested;
11. Keeps supervisor informed of department needs;
12. Performs all other duties as assigned by any member of management;
13. Tracks resident daily activity participation.
