About the Role
As a skilled Critical Care Nurse, you will provide exceptional patient care in our Progressive Care Unit. This fast-paced environment demands your expertise in interpreting dysrhythmias, managing oxygen protocols, and caring for patients with various medical conditions.
You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes and ensure seamless transitions of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Critical Care Skills: Apply advanced critical thinking skills to manage complex patient cases, including interpretation of electrocardiograms (ECGs) and management of cardiac rhythms.
- Oxygen Therapy: Administer oxygen therapy according to established guidelines and protocols.
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 to ensure timely and effective care delivery.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Certifications: Hold current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Experience: Possess at least one year of recent experience in a similar role within an acute care setting.
