Nurse Practitioner Correctional Psychiatry
22nd Century Healthcare is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality patient care in a correctional psychiatry setting.
Job Description:
- Monitors patients' progress and intervenes in chronic illnesses, guided by ODRC policies and protocols.
- Inoculates against communicable diseases, prescribes medications, administers treatment, and performs minor surgery as training allows.
- Conducts routine physical exams, diagnoses new conditions, and evaluates patients for specialty referrals.
- Orders laboratory, x-ray, and diagnostic testing results, facilitating medical reclassification and non-formulary medication requests.
- Provides emergency medical care, examines, diagnoses, and treats patients within scope of practice.
- Documents patient information according to ODRC guidelines and American Correctional Association standards.
Requirements:
- Active Nurse Practitioner License for the state of OH
- DEA Certificate
- Active BLS/CPR
