Skyline Med Staff Nursing is seeking a traveling RN to join their team in Illinois. This 13-week travel nursing job offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality care to patients in a dynamic and supportive environment.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. This includes assessing patient health, monitoring fetal well-being, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor patient health throughout labor and delivery
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals
- Provide emotional support and pain management during labor
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor their effects
- Assist with amniotomy and other procedures as directed by the healthcare team
- Participate in cesarean section procedures and provide immediate newborn care
- Monitor patient and newborn health in the postpartum period
Requirements:
- Degree in Nursing (RN)
- Experience in Labor and Delivery
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Able to work 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts
