They attend to those undergoing treatment with pharmaceuticals to manage illness. Due to the broad range of medical conditions encountered, Wound Care Nurses must be well-versed in various health conditions. Their responsibilities include routine treatment and post-surgical care, assessing changes in patient health status, performing various treatments, and meticulous documentation of medication and treatment administration to ensure continuity of care between nursing staff, physicians, and other treatment team members.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To excel in this position, you should possess a degree from an accredited nursing program and have at least eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Med/Surg or Wound Care setting. Other requirements may be determined by the client facility.
