Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Intake Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential in creating a seamless and supportive experience for our patients by gathering key demographic and treatment information. The ideal candidate will have exceptional phone etiquette, clear written and verbal communication skills, and a passion for patient care. This position also performs vital clerical and customer service tasks to support the smooth operation of our organization.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately transcribe and input patient information, demographics, and prior treatment history into our treatment portal
- Escalate patient issues or concerns to management as appropriate
- Assist with incoming phone calls and route them to the correct parties
- Monitor and manage communication channels including email, fax, and other platforms
- Perform other clerical duties as assigned
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Friendly, professional demeanor with patients and colleagues
- Ability to generate and monitor daily patient status reports
- Typing proficiency of at least 50 WPM
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Effective multitasking and time management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, or similar software
- Understanding of clerical systems such as recordkeeping and filing
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience in hospitality or customer service strongly preferred
- Prior medical intake experience preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
