Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires strong observational skills, the ability to manage conflicts effectively, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of personnel and property.
- Operate and maintain CCTV systems to monitor activities and identify potential security threats.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing first aid or CPR as necessary.
- Conduct thorough surveillance of premises to prevent theft, vandalism, or other criminal activities.
- Enforce company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to report incidents or provide assistance.
- Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, observations, and actions taken during shifts.
- Assist in training new security personnel on protocols and procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in law enforcement or military service is preferred but not required.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
- Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and strategies is advantageous.
- Ability to operate surveillance equipment including CCTV systems.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by company policies.
Hours are Sunday-Thursday 9pm-5am
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
