Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. The Security Officer will work closely with law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, ensuring a swift resolution while maintaining safety protocols.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure security measures are in place.
- Utilize surveillance equipment such as CCTV to monitor activities and gather evidence when necessary.
- Provide first aid and CPR assistance as required during emergencies.
- Document incidents, prepare reports, and maintain accurate records of daily activities.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or emergencies.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and damage to property.
- Manage conflicts effectively by employing conflict resolution techniques.
Skills
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Experience in loss prevention techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with CCTV operations and surveillance systems.
- Background in military or law enforcement is advantageous.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Hours are 6:30 -1:30 Monday -Friday and Saturday 6:30-10am
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
