The Operations Manager is the most important leadership position in the company as you are the CEO of that location and all the field operations that occur there are overseen by you. From survey through service including permitting, inspection, procurement, warehouse and most importantly installation. The OM drives the permit and inspection teams for exceptional timelines and excellence in all they do while also running all of installations to ensure that only high quality work is performed in a timely manner.

As an Operations Manager you will report directly to the Director of Field Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, develop and grow all Riverside personnel (survey, permit, service, inspection, warehouse and install) and ensure they are performing to the highest standards in a timely manner.
- Your primary responsibility is to manage, support and develop the installation teams. The calendar will be filled for you by our scheduling team but you will be responsible to review all jobs and determine which crew to assign them to based on the crew skill set and the scope of work for that project. Furthermore, the installation crew leads will contact you for assistance in the field whenever they reach an obstacle on site which could be something technical or customer related. You will also run weekly safety, quality and training meetings to continue to develop the installation teams and enhance their knowledge and capabilities. You will hold installation teams accountable to complete projects with the highest quality while doing so in proper timelines.
- Resolve escalated permitting situations and support the permitting team in the issuance of complicated permits that a Permit Coordinator may be struggling to obtain.
- Resolve escalated inspection situations and support the team in the completion of both fire and final inspections that an Inspection Tech may be struggling to get passed while also working with the Inspection Coordinator.
- Resolve escalated service situations and support the team in the completion of complicated services that a Service Tech may be struggling to complete.
- Work with AHJs on escalated and complicated projects while also cultivating, building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Update our CRM/Project Management software in a timely manner to ensure the highest level of data integrity.
- Work with the design and other central operations teams as needed.
- Communicate with your manager on any issues that may happen in a timely manner.
- Develop relationships with the entire Skyline Smart Energy team to support operational excellence.
- Willing to provide feedback and ideas for system and process improvements.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- A positive attitude, a great work ethic, honest, trustworthy, willingness to learn, take direction, lead and be a self-starter.
- A strong problem-solving capability is a must.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
- Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment but also able to work individually and accomplish individual tasks and goals.
- Basic computer and technology literacy is a must.
- 2 years of solar installation experience and knowledge of every aspect of a residential solar installation from a technical standpoint is a must.
- 1-2 years of management experience is a huge plus.
- Ability to understand, read, and comprehend solar design documents is a must.
- Bachelor’s degree is a plus but certainly not a requirement and job experience is much more important.
- Ability to work weekends, early mornings and long hours when needed on an occasional basis.
- Attention to detail is a must.
This is a full-time position with compensation level commensurate with experience and value generation. Please note that this is NOT an entry level position.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
