Job Title: Solar Application Specialist
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Solar Application Specialist to manage the submission and follow-up of utility interconnection applications and state solar rebate credit applications. This role requires excellent communication skills to coordinate with homeowners and internal teams to ensure all required documents and information are collected and submitted promptly. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to track multiple applications simultaneously, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, submit, and track utility interconnection applications for solar system installations.
- Submit and monitor state applications for solar rebate credits, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
- Follow up with utility companies, state agencies, and other relevant entities to expedite application approvals.
- Communicate with homeowners to gather necessary documents and information for applications.
- Maintain accurate records of application statuses, deadlines, and required follow-ups.
- Work closely with the sales, project management, and installation teams to ensure a smooth application process.
- Stay up to date with utility and state requirements for solar incentives and interconnection.
- Address and resolve any issues or additional requirements that may arise during the application process.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Prior experience in a similar role within the solar or energy industry is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple applications simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with homeowners and agencies.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow complex application procedures accurately.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and CRM software.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accountability.
- Knowledge of solar energy systems and interconnection processes is a plus.
