The Infrastructure Project Manager is a PM position within our PMO that specializes in Infrastructure-related projects. The Infrastructure PM (IPM) will spend most of their time on Infrastructure-related projects for a large program and other local Infrastructure Division clients. The IPM will work very closely with the infrastructure engineering team to become a specialist in our internal processes around Infrastructure, partner closely with the technical resources, and overall be responsible for the delivery of our Infrastructure projects.
You can expect to spend your time accomplishing the following:
- 45% of the time on Objective 1: Client Infrastructure Project Delivery
- 40% of the time on Objective 2: Infrastructure Division Project Delivery
- 15% of the time on Objective 3: Growth and Development
Job Responsibilities – What to Expect
- Manage Infrastructure Division projects.
- Work with Infrastructure Engineers and Operational Resource managers to coordinate resource allocation for Infrastructure projects.
- Follow Project Management standards from PMO and PMGO.
- Document all project artifacts in ServiceNow
- Gather and document client requirements
- Set up the project in Skyline SOAR systems
- Coordinate project work, communications, escalation, and priorities across divisions as needed for projects that require cross-divisional support
- Lead Project related client status meetings, operational transition, lessons learned, and project closeout
- Develop work breakdown structures, schedules, major milestone roadmaps, communication plans, test plans, change control plans, and overall project plans
- Perform day-to-day management of assigned projects, identify issues and risks, and escalate quickly to management when needed
- Responsible for ensuring that work performed is within scope, consistent with requirements, and delivered on time and on budget.
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
- Project Manage additional non-Infrastructure related PMO projects as needed capacity allows based on the infrastructure project pipeline.
Your Knowledge & Expertise
- Bachelor's Degree required
- PMP certified
- Over 5 years' experience in a PM or leadership role in technology infrastructure implementation projects.
- Over 5 years’ experience working for or with state government
