Medication Aide Job Description
Skyline Terrace Nursing Home seeks a detail-oriented Medication Aide to provide exceptional care for our residents on the 3pm to 11pm shift.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver routine daily medications to patients with precision and accuracy.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses to coordinate patient care and medication management.
- Follow written or verbal instructions to manage medications safely and efficiently.
- Record medication dosages and times with attention to detail.
- Observe patients closely and document changes in their condition.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment by upholding all health and safety standards.
- Respond promptly to patient emergency call bells to identify and address their needs.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
- Certification as a Medication Aide is mandatory, with a preference for Nursing Aide certification (additional compensation offered for both).
- At least two years of experience as a Medication Aide is essential.
- Able to work flexible schedules, including every other weekend.
- Strong understanding of medical and pharmacological terminology is necessary.
Work Details:
- Job Type: Full-time.
- Pay Rate: $18.50 - $21.00 per hour.

- Schedule: 12 hour shifts, 8 hour shifts, evening shifts, night shifts, rotating weekends.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Certified Medication Aide license for Virginia is required.
