Job Responsibilities
- Lead wireless network deployment from 0 to 1 in target cities, completing feasibility analysis for coverage, spectrum compliance verification, and cost-benefit modeling, ensuring the first pilot area is commercially available within 6 months.
- Design a multi-band aggregation scheme (2.4/5/6GHz) based on WiFi 7 MLO, optimizing signal attenuation compensation strategies under nLOS conditions (target coverage radius ≥100 meters).
- Lead the field survey team, using tools such as Atoll/Wireless InSite to complete 3D modeling, ensuring network planning and measured Bit Error Rate (BER) <1e-6.
- Develop deployment SOP manuals, covering key technical actions such as spectrum interference avoidance (e.g., 6GHz radar avoidance) and TDMA slot allocation algorithm tuning.
- Monitor FCC regulatory updates (e.g., AFC rule changes), adjusting deployment strategies in advance to avoid compliance penalties.
Job Requirements
- 5 years of experience in WISP or FWA operators, with at least one city-level wireless network deployment led.
- Proficiency in WiFi 6/7 technology stack (MLO, OFDMA, 4K QAM) and 6GHz frequency band management rules (FCC Part 15/ETSI EN 303 687).
- Ability to quickly diagnose issues in nLOS scenarios.
- Experience in reducing per-AP costs through supplier negotiations or deployment model innovations (e.g., shared towers, rooftop sharing).
- Experience in emergency response plan design for potential failures, such as 6GHz AFC dynamic coordination and TDMA clock synchronization errors.
Preferred Qualifications
- CWNP/CWNE certification or FCC GROL license preferred.
- Experience in millimeter-wave backhaul or fiber aggregation design preferred.
- Preferred to have local government relationship resources and negotiation and coordination capabilities for municipal public facility leasing.
