POSITION PURPOSE
Manage all aspects of Quality Assurance/Quality Control within the company. Assure compliance with CFR and FAA regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include some or all of the following and are not intended to be all-inclusive. SkyOne reserves the right to change, add, or delete responsibilities and duties as seen fit.
- Assure compliance with all applicable CFR and FAA regulations as they apply to a 14 CFR Part 145 Repair Station
- Assume all responsibilities of Chief Inspector
- Appoint and manage inspection personnel within the Repair Station
- Responsible for the currency of technical records
- Responsible for assuring airworthiness of products serviced at the Repair Station
- Perform internal audits and audits of Vendors and Suppliers
- Liaison with FAA Principal Maintenance Inspector and Principal Avionics Inspector
- Develop and implement training programs
- Manage the Quality System in accordance with the Repair Station's Repair Station Manual (RSM), Quality Manual (QM), and AS9110 Quality Management System.
- Responsible for maintaining currency of all technical data used by the Repair Station
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job requires the supervision of all inspection personnel
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability that is preferred:
- Minimum three (3) years working in Quality Assurance / Quality Control
- Knowledge and experience with FAA Regulations as they pertain to a Part 145 Repair Station
- Familiarity with Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Advisory Circulars
- Critical thinking/problem-solving skills
Applying common sense understanding and standard industry practices to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated written or oral instructions. Ability to manage problems involving many variables in sometimes difficult and stressful situations
- Familiarity with all common inspection methods / techniques
- Supervisory experience
- Very good communication skills
- Airframe and Powerplant FAA license (a big plus)
COMPUTER SKILLS REQUIRED
- Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access
- Expertise in navigating internet websites (FAA, etc.)

- Shop environment
- Most work is indoor and in controlled climate
- Sometimes noisy
- Sometimes hectic and stressful
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, stand, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
