This position is looking for specific individuals to operate our Zip Line, Climbing Tower and our new Monorail (B-Line) Attractions.
As an Adventure Crew II team member, you are responsible for aiding guests using any of the various Outdoor Adventure attraction areas, such as: Arrow’s Adventure, SkyPark Zipline, Blitzen’s Bungee, Frozen Falls Climbing Wall, North Pole Express Train, Serrano Archery Range, Strider Bike Trail, Discovery Playscape, Silver Bells Arena, Magic Tree Bouldering Room, Pavilion Games, and Fantasy Forrest Trail. Adventure Crew team members are expected to maintain an awareness of potential problems while creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere in their particular program area. This position expects professional communication and collaboration with staff from all Outdoor Adventure areas.
Requirements: Must have CPR/AED and First Aid Adult and Infant Certification (SkyPark does provide training to new employees); Must be at least 18 years of age or more.
Responsibilities:
- Safety of our guests is our utmost priority.
- Determine facility access eligibility for each patron.
- Attend all mandatory staff meetings.
- Check in/out appropriate equipment following correct check-out procedures.
- Ensure all Outdoor Adventure Attractions rules and guidelines are followed by guests and other park staff that may be nearby.
- Assist in observing guest’s climbing and belaying and enforce climbing rules.
- While on-duty in the climbing areas, remain in a harness and be prepared to offer belays to participants throughout entire shift.
- Report to work on time (early) for all scheduled shifts.
- Perform applicable opening and closing responsibilities which include but are not limited to: tying ropes and anchors, putting away equipment, changing trash bags, vacuuming, and other occasional cleaning.
- Properly maintain and store all OA equipment, which can include technical climbing instructional supplies, inspecting equipment, filling chalk balls, keeping all areas clean, and reporting any gear or safety concerns to the Outdoor Adventure Manager.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and organization with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle and execute any related tasks assigned by the Outdoor Adventure Manager.
- Maintain genuine enthusiasm, interest, and commitment to creating positive and memorable experiences.
- Desire to teach diverse groups of people in an outdoor setting.
- Ability to learn and practice specific safety guidelines for all Outdoor Adventure areas.
- Have a positive attitude toward SkyPark guest and fellow staff.
- Must be able to handle any emergency scenario calmly.
- Knowledge of education and adventure programs.
- Knowledge of industry safety standards regarding top rope, auto belays, spotting, high ropes rescue techniques, etc.
