Description
EMT Rangers will perform first aid for injured guests and/or employees as needed. EMT Ranger will be responsible for patrolling and enforcing safety in all areas of the park. EMT Rangers will be called to respond to safety and medical incidents within the park.
This position is Seasonal (April - September 1, 2025) and requires availabiltiy on weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Examine and evaluate guests/employees to determine necessary care.
- Provide guests/employees with emergency care by utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment. Administer additional care as indicated or directed by medical control.
- Document guest/employee information, condition and treatment, as well as, document investigation in accordance with SkyPark policy.
- Notify Human Resources of any employee treatment and assist with worker’s compensation documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality for guests/employees and perform all care with respect for patient rights.
- Maintain a safe, clean and well-stocked environment for guests and employees.
- Provide basic life support and gather guest/employee date.
- Communicate to safety dispatch guest/employee needs and specify whether or not emergency services are required.
- Communicate with emergency services the guest/employee information. Assist with traffic control to ensure emergency services can get to the guest/employee quickly and safely.
- Know and enforce all safety rules in SkyPark at Santa’s Village.
- May be required to lift and respond with stretcher and medical equipment or respond with the departments designated golf cart.
- May be required to lift up to 250lbs (with assistance).
- May be exposed to body fluids and other biohazards and are expected to use universal precautions to avoid contamination. Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and bending.
- More than 70% of shift is spend outdoors and performed during inclement weather and on challenging terrain.
- Assist Safety Department with end of day cash bags, change requests and refill safety cash bags when Finance is unavailable.
- Provide excellent Guest Service.
- Ability to build relationships and work cohesively as a team.
- Work with multiple departments and different levels of leadership.
- Problem-solve, remain composed and effective in stressful situations.
- Respond to incidents and assists guests/employees during safety & emergency situations.
- Additional duties designated by the Ranger Supervisor/Manager, Assistant General Manager or General Manager.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Emergency Medical Responder certification or higher.
- CPR (BLS or Professional Rescuer) certification.
- Prior emergency medical responder and/or security related experience preferred.
- Ability to write in a professional manner.
- Word processing and computer skills needed.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to interact with guests and employees in a professional manner regardless of the situation.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
