Groundskeeper

Description

The Groundskeeper will perform landscaping and maintenance tasks for SkyPark Facilities. Groundskeepers will assist with planting flowers, raking, pulling weeds, watering and maintaining the outdoor space throughout SkyPark property. They will report to the Facilities Supervisor.

SkyPark is a seasonal employer (May - October 31, 2025) and requires availability on weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Perform grounds-keeping and building maintenance duties.
• Landscape by planting flowers, trees, shrubs, or bushes.
• Apply fertilizer to ground to enhance growth.
• Water plants and flowers needed around the park.
• Sweep walkway of debris.
• Cut down tree limbs that are posing a danger for guests or employees.
• Trim shrubs and pull weeds.
• Operates snowblower or snowplow to clear roads, driveways, and parking lots.
• Completes snow removal tasks such as shoveling sidewalks, steps, and doorways as needed during winter months.
• Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed.
• Re-locate plants or trees to areas that will promote growth.
• Clean and organize the outside of buildings before park opens.
• Maintain ponds by skimming the water, cleaning the area around the pond and filling the pond.
• Moving dumpsters weekly for trash pick-up.
• Assisting the janitorial team with trash pick-up in the parking lot and throughout the park as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Customer experience.
• Maintain a positive attitude even in stressful situations.
• Grounds keeping/Landscaping experience is preferred.
• Ability to operate various types of power equipment including lawnmowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and other landscaping equipment.
• Ability to use hand tools required for landscaping.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments alone and with a team.
• Extensive knowledge of landscaping techniques and processes.
• Must be willing to work outdoors, including: standing, walking, squatting, pulling/pushing, and lifting.
• Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.
• Must be able to lift 75lbs or more.
