Skypoint Recovery Virginia is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Supervising Clinician to join our growing team of skilled individuals. This role involves overseeing therapists and the clinical aspects of our program. The successful candidate will have a strong background in dual diagnosis of mental health and substance use disorders, with a passion for providing high-quality care to individuals in need.

Job Summary:

The Supervising Clinician will assure the quality of services provided to the service recipients, coordinate day-to-day operations of our clinical program, and recommend and implement changes that improve delivery of services. The clinician will also provide direct services of their own as determined by the Chief Operating Officer.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Provide clinical leadership and supervision to a team of therapists and clinicians.

· Develop and implement treatment plans based on individual client needs.

· Conduct regular clinical meetings and case conferences with staff to ensure quality care delivery.

· Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including ethical guidelines.

· Collaborate with other departments and agencies to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.

· Assess and manage client crisis situations and provide appropriate interventions.

· Offer direct clinical services, including individual and group therapy sessions, as needed.

· Monitor program outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives.

· Stay up to date with the latest research and best practices in substance use and mental health treatment.

· Adheres to the agency’s policies and procedures, and its code of ethics and complies with the State Mental Health Code.

· Complies with the agency standard for service delivery.

· Performs additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Current licensure as a mental health professional with the ability to practice independently (LMHP, LCSW, LPC, LSATP).

· Experience in substance use and mental health treatment, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.

· Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to provide clinical supervision and support to a diverse team of therapists.

· Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities for substance use and mental health disorders.

· Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in the field.

· Ability to communicate with subordinates in a constructive manner.

· Flexibility and adaptability to handle a small caseload as needed.

· Good organizational skills and administrative abilities.

· Ability to adhere to the professional code of ethics.

· Knowledge of and ability to comply with the State Mental Health Code.

Education and Experience:

· Master's degree in a mental health discipline required.

· Appropriate professional registration/certification by state/national authority required.

· At least three years of professional experience in mental health or human services.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $72,700.00 - $102,300.00 per year
