The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to the restaurant recipes and standards. This role involves ensuring high-quality food production, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and adhering to all food safety and sanitation regulations. The Cook works closely with other kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and delivery, contributing to a seamless and efficient kitchen operation. Strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this position.
SHIFT:
AM: 3 am - 11 am
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is cooked and presented in a timely manner and meets the restaurant's quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.
- Assist in the preparation and portioning of ingredients for use in cooking.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, fryers, and mixers safely and efficiently.
- Monitor food stock levels and communicate shortages to the kitchen manager or supervisor.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper storage procedures are followed.
- I participate in the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and utensils.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
- 1 years’ experience as a cook in a full-service restaurant
- Experience cooking breakfast food highly preferred
- ServeSafe Certified a plus
