We are seeking an Azure Automation Engineer to design, build, and implement automated infrastructure capabilities for a government client. The ideal candidate will bring solid automation scripting skills, knowledge of DevOps & platform tools, and a desire to solve problems with technology. You will work primarily with Microsoft-based functions in Azure cloud.
We seek a candidate with these technical skills:
Excellent, demonstrated PowerShell scripting skills. Additional skills with Python and/or Bash automation scripting are a plus.
Working knowledge of YAML-based automated workflows. Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines is helpful.
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Azure capabilities, including ARM/BICEP templates, Automation Accounts, Event Hubs, Key Vault and other functions related to automation.
Familiarity with change management tracking tools. Experience with ServiceNow preferred.
Basic knowledge of monitoring and reports to create and maintain audit trails for automated processes.
Basic knowledge of Agile processes for sprint tracking.
The ideal candidate will have these additional qualifications:
Strong interpersonal and team-focused skills. This is a collaborative environment.
Some basic presentation skills. You will be expected to explain automation functionality to a wider, non-technical audience.
Ability to use internet resources such as Google, Stack Overflow, and ChatGPT to learn and create solutions.
Intellectual curiosity and a drive to succeed. This position will require new ideas and frequent problem-solving.
