We are seeking a reliable Warehouse Associate II with Hamzat/Hazwoper training to join our recycling and chemical management team in Montgomery, AL
Pay Starts at $16/hr, to be hired on at a higher pay rate
1st Shift: Mon-Fri from 8am-5pm.
Qualifications and Overview
Acts as Waste Management coordinator / Waste Technician for customer-site work. Must have in depth knowledge and be able to understand and apply RCRA (Resource Conservation & Recovery Act of 1976), DOT & EPA regulations as they affect the packing, transportation, and disposal of hazardous waste.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare or confirm accuracy of all paperwork associated with shipping hazardous waste
- Prepare pickup and transport of customer wastes, loading and unloading company trucks and common carriers using forklift and other required equipment on customer site.
- Prepare for shipment and load hazardous waste destined for off-site recycling / disposal facilities.
- Ability to classify waste according to RCRA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
- Ability to learn proper methods for handling hazardous materials and wastes
- Physical ability to tilt back or break ~800 lb. drums onto a dolly
- Exposure to fumes, dirt, noise, and hazardous chemicals daily.
- Material handler with Hazwoper, RCRA, and DOT qualifications required
Education, Experience and Training:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have in depth knowledge of RCRA, and DOT, and EPA regulations, acquired through documented detailed work experience.
- Current 40-hour Hazwoper
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
