Job Overview
We seek part-time employees to assist in design and development. The ideal candidate should be creative, innovative, curious, and determined. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking are essential.
This is a part-time opportunity with flexible scheduling, suitable for degreed professionals, graduate students, or individuals employed in related fields. Candidates must be comfortable navigating the intersection of theory and practical application. Knowledge of thermodynamics, air, and water flow – design, measurement, and testing – is required. Independent work or teamwork capabilities, along with basic research and computer skills, are necessary. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is also required. Signing a non-disclosure agreement and consulting contract will be mandatory.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Molecular Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field
- In-depth understanding of heat transfer, molecular thermodynamics, inter-molecular interactions, phase changes at the molecular level, specifically vapor phase particle dynamics
Bonus Qualifications
- Molecular surface interactions, nucleation, and/or MOFs
- Strong preference for candidates with real-life experience versus laboratory-only testing
- Specialized study of water vapor or ambient atmospheric air
Experience
- Self-directed projects and independent research and/or testing experience
- Working in tight interdisciplinary teams, including engineering and fabrication
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy
- LEAN methodology and rapid prototyping experience is desirable
