The Administrator for Skytown Co-Op Preschool is responsible for scheduling, billing, and office needs of the preschool. This position provides support to the Director, teaching staff, and families as part of our co-operative preschool.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all administrative needs of our co-operative preschool, including tasks and interactions related to school management, teaching staff, and parent community.
- Responsible for managing monthly participation calendars, tuition billing, enrollment changes, etc.
- Manage preschool admissions and enrollment processes, including tours, corresponding with potential applicants and enrollees, and reporting to the Director.
- Handle a variety of administrative responsibilities for the preschool, including:
- Keeping systems up-to-date for all administrative procedures
- Handling routine aspects of daily operations
- Maintain sign-in sheets and processes for daily attendance
- Keep and update student records, including immunizations, emergency info, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- 1 – 3 years’ relevant administrative/office experience
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent customer service, communication and writing skills
- Commitment to confidentiality and discretion
- Excellent organization, multi-tasking and time management skills
- Ability to create and maintain deadlines
- Previous work in an early childhood or school environment preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is conducted on-site in a school setting, with regular contact with staff, children, and families.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Position requires seated or standing use of a computer throughout the day. Some light lifting and carrying.
HOURS/SCHEDULE
20 hours/week; year-round employment: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. Flexible with days of the week.
Pay $20-24 DOE.
