Overview:
The ISP/Interventionist will provide classroom and small group support and help to ensure the educational development of students on an IEP. All ISP’s will be responsible for the adoption of the school mission and vision as evidenced through supporting the grade level and classroom teachers with the school’s curriculum components (i.e. Core Knowledge). In addition, ISP’s will show a commitment to furthering their own professional development and building relationships with students, staff, and families.

- Experience with specialized reading programs preferred

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide support to students on IEP’s in the general education classroom;
- Provide one-on-one and/or small group instruction to students on IEP’s outside the general education classroom under the supervision of a Learning Specialist;
- Progress monitor IEP goals;
- Track service minutes and log support services and interventions;
- Collaborate regularly with general education teachers and Student Support Services team regarding IEP students;
- Support implementation of the SVA vision & mission, helping set the tone and culture;
- Communicate proactively with students, staff, and parents;
- Embrace feedback in a continuous improvement modality;
- Build appropriate professional relationships with students;
- Traffic duties
- Attend meetings and in-service days as required
- Various other duties may be assigned
