About the Role: seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer with expertise in AWS technologies to join our team for an exciting contract opportunity. As a key member of the team, you will contribute to the deployment and automation of critical services and workflows within a cloud environment, focusing on AWS Glue, Lambda, and other cloud-based tools. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and applications, leveraging AWS Glue, Lambda, and other AWS services.
- Write, test, and deploy serverless functions using AWS Lambda in conjunction with Python and Typescript.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of cloud-based solutions and optimization of data processing pipelines.
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines using AWS Glue and manage data workflows across systems.
- Provide automation solutions to enhance the deployment pipeline and improve operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AWS infrastructure, services, and applications.
- Ensure security, performance, and scalability of deployed applications and services.
- Support and implement best practices for cloud governance and cost optimization.
- Utilize your experience with Informatica (even if minimal) to assist in data integration tasks when required.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience with AWS Glue, Lambda, and other AWS services.
- Proficient in Python and Typescript for writing scripts and serverless functions.
- Solid understanding of DevOps principles and tools (CI/CD, version control, automation, etc.).
- Proven experience in cloud-based infrastructure and services.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with troubleshooting and optimizing cloud services for performance and reliability.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with Informatica tools (even limited experience would be beneficial).
- Experience with AWS data services such as S3, Redshift, RDS, DynamoDB, etc.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to rapidly evolving technologies.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3 years of relevant experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
