Job Summary
Nordex is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Plant Logistics Specialist to play a pivotal role in optimizing our supply chain operations in West Branch, IA. This specialist will oversee and facilitate the seamless movement of goods, coordinate personnel, processes, and resources to ensure efficient distribution and delivery, while implementing best practices that enhance operational effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Gather quotes and analyze transportation and logistics plans.
- Complete customs documentation forms with designated carriers, brokers, and forwarders.
- Provide information regarding industry requirements to assist with negotiations and contracts.
- Communicate the status of deliveries and shipments to production facilities.
- Monitor cost and performance improvements by analyzing cost drivers, processes, and specifications.
- Review logistics performance with customers against targets, benchmarks, and service agreements.
- Create commercial invoices, packing lists, and requisitions within the ERP system.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience preferred (3-5 years).
- 2 years of logistics experience and/or transportation planning.
