Our customer service-oriented Technology Operations (TechOps) Team is seeking a TechOps (IT) Technician. The TechOps Team is responsible for the support, management and security of the systems infrastructure and client support for all campuses. Team responsibilities include (but not limited to) infrastructure management, cyber security and monitoring, disaster recovery, wired & wireless networks, workstation and telephone support, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft 365 Suite, network infrastructure support, client and vendor coordination, project management, theater, and editorial systems support.
The TechOps Support Technician will complement the team with an exceptional customer-service attitude by providing support to end users and completing tasks as assigned for internal department projects.
This position will be on-site and based out of our office in the Presidio of San Francisco but will require occasional travel to a few properties in Marin County.
Education / Experience:
5 year’s hands-on experience
Associates Degree from a Trade or Traditional College and/or relevant industry certifications (A , Network , CCNA, etc)
Required Skills / Competencies:
- Networking Experience with understanding of Layer 3 routing, VLANs, VPN, Wi-Fi, firewalls etc.
- Windows Server Experience with understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, File Sharing, print servers.
- Strong customer service attitude and ability to work in a broad technology environment requiring adaptation to ever-changing priorities.
- Self-starter, energetic, strong organizational skills, and ability to work independently and to prioritize workload.
- Excellent team player- proven ability to resolve problems professionally and systematically.
- Able to communicate in a professional and friendly manner with co-workers and customers, both verbally and in writing.
- Flexibility in concepts and action, able to handle aggressive mission critical deadlines.
- Excellent understanding of technology and the role of the client in relation to the larger IT infrastructure.
- Strong skills in supporting the following: Apple (MacOS), Windows Desktop Environments (including Windows 11) and mobile devices (iOS and Android)
- Audio/Video support experience for conferences and meetings using Zoom.
- Able to lift 50lbs on a regular basis.
- Ability to travel up to 60 miles daily for support as needed.
- Flexible schedule - must be willing to work evenings and weekends when needed.
- On-Call Coverage - Participate in an on-call rotation with the team (typically 1 week coverage every 5 weeks)
Desired Skills / Competencies:
- Industry certifications showing proven knowledge (CompTIA A , Network , Cisco CCNA or equivalent, Microsoft Server Certification, other relevant certification) is preferred but not required.
- Experience working with Microsoft based Enterprise technology, including Active Directory and group policy management.
- Supporting a Windows Server 2008 – 2022 environment
- Knowledge of telephony systems, PBX's and VOIP systems.
- Comprehensive system documentation skills.
- Knowledge of routers, firewalls, switches, and related network equipment in a multi-campus environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365, HyperV and VMware.
