SkyWater is thrilled to be partnering with an industry leading manufacturing company that is looking to add an Accountant to their team. This role is ideal for a professional who brings strong technical accounting skills, proficiency in SAP, and in-depth knowledge of revenue recognition. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards, while contributing to process improvements and system efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations in accordance with US GAAP.
• Ensure compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards, including contract reviews and revenue analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure transactions are properly recorded in SAP.
• Assist in audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.
• Analyze financial data and present insights or variances to management.
• Assist in developing accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance.
  
  

Desired Skills And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CPA candidate preferred).
• 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Strong experience with SAP ERP systems is required.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with ASC 606.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
