SkyWater is partnering with an industry leading manufacturer in the Minneapolis/St Paul area who’s looking to add a Director of Manufacturing to their team! This person will be overseeing a team of 8 direct reports with roughly 200 indirect across 3 shifts. The Director of Manufacturing will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of manufacturing while leading continuous improvement initiatives & implementing lean manufacturing principles. Our client is looking for a hands-on manufacturing leader who enjoys developing & growing teams with a history of leading successful manufacturing operations. Responsibilities

• Oversee daily manufacturing operations while placing an emphasis on safety & quality.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles to drive efficiencies & operational excellence.
• Manage team members and promote internal growth & development.
• Ensure budgets, schedules and performance requirements are met.
• Partner with company leadership on strategic initiatives.
• Other projects or responsibilities as assigned.
  
  

Desired Skills And Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration or related field. o MBA or Master’s Degree highly preferred.
• 15 years of experience working in manufacturing with at least 5 years of management experience (ideally leading large teams).
• Experience working in machinery manufacturing, metal fabrication or a related field.
• Strong experience implementing lean manufacturing principles or leading continuous improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills (both written & verbal).
