What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Engineer position at SkyWater Search Partners?
We’re exciting to be partnering with a returning manufacturing client just outside of the Madison area to help them find a Manufacturing Engineer. This individual will have a key role on the assembly team working with a strong manufacturing team. This person will be working closely with multiple departments (design, prototyping, sales, purchasing, etc..) on developing and maintaining manufacturing systems. This company has been growing at a rapid pace over the years and are expecting the same in 2025.
Responsibilities:
- Develop manufacturing process and quality control procedures for product launches and parts manufacturing efforts
- Troubleshoot equipment as needed
- Assist other teams in quoting of new products
- Develop and execute initiatives to enhance production metrics and financial outcomes.
- Design and refine manufacturing methods by studying product requirements and testing new equipment.
- Design and apply testing methods to ensure product and process quality meet established standards.
- Establish and confirm manufacturing standards through continuous evaluation and testing.
- Work cross functionally with multiple departments on ways to efficiently produce their products
Desired Skills And Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering related degree required
- 2-5 years of manufacturing or industrial engineering experience in an assembly-based manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of sheet metal and weldments preferred, not required
- AutoCAD/Solidworks experience
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
