SkyWater is partnering with an existing client in the Sioux Falls area on a Project Engineer search! The Project Engineer will be responsible for working with customers on design projects while partnering with internal engineering groups throughout project lifecycles. This includes designing custom products, estimating project costs, setting up testing & validation of products, working with customers on design tweaks & changes and partnering with manufacturing & quality engineering teams throughout the production stage. The Project Engineer will work on longer life-cycle projects (1 year) and will handle a project workload of around 10 projects at a time. We’re looking for an engineer with around 2 years of project, applications or design engineering experience and someone who has experience working in the heavy equipment space (ag equipment, construction machinery, etc.). Responsibilities
Partner with customers on product designs.
Estimate project costs for customers.
Set-up product testing & validation procedures.
Work with internal engineering teams throughout project lifecycles.
Act as a technical resource for customers on projects.
Other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
Desired Skills And Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2 years of Project Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related position (or combination of similar positions).
Experience working in a heavy equipment manufacturing environment highly preferred.
Strong communication skills (both written & verbal).
Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multitask.
